Recently, the Maritime Union of Australia initiated a new round of protected strike action at DP World's Australian ports. According to DP World, the current strike action has resulted in significant delays and disruptions to the import and export of goods in Australia. Normally, unloading cargo from a ship takes only two days, but now it is taking seven to eight days.

In the first three quarters of 2023, China COSCO Shipping Ports reported a year-on-year increase of 2.8% in its total container throughput, reaching 100,175,999 standard containers. The equity container throughput also saw a 1.8% year-on-year increase, totaling 32,159,349 standard containers. However, the revenue decreased by 0.6% to $1,047,775,000, and the profit attributable to equity holders dropped by 11.7% to $233,604,000.
10月24日，“中国洋浦港—菲律宾马尼拉港”直达航线在洋浦国际集装箱码头正式开通首航。这是洋浦港向区域国际集装箱中转枢纽港的又一步迈进，也标志着洋浦航线布局正逐步向多元化合作转变。
On October 24th, the "China Yangpu Port to the Port of Manila in the Philippines" direct shipping route had its inaugural voyage at the Yangpu International Container Terminal. On October 24th, the APEC Port Services Network (APSN) held a forum in Bangkok, Thailand, titled "Innovative Ports for a Low-Carbon and Digital Future." During the event, the 2023 GPAS ceremony took place. Xiamen Container Terminal Group was honored with the title of "Asia-Pacific Green Port" for 2023, signifying that Xiamen Port's level of green port infrastructure places it among the top in Asia.
